I have very basic requirements for a Coffee Machine. It has to do the decent and keep hot coffee warm. No timer or programmable clock, and probably never use it. This replaces a Thermal Carafe made Melitta lukewarm coffee was cold in an hour. No more running to the microwave to reheat coffee for me. I've had no problem with # 4 generic filters store brand. I also use # 2 filters bought by mistake that work well for smaller boats.

This Coffee Maker is quick coffee and the coffee is really hot. Just the way I like.
An excellent coffee maker

After a month of daily service, we are very happy with this coffee machine - coffee tastes great and stays warm for hours jar (if it is not drunk distance.) A minor nit to pick is that is supposed to take the # 4 filters, but the offer we have (Trader Joe's) should be cut in order to fit, but they were well on our previous Krups machine. I would recommend this coffee.
Great Coffee maker, with minor warnings

I spent a long time reading comments here and elsewhere before buying this coffee machine. Note, no coffee maker under $ 100 will be perfect. You always find the complaints, but overall, I like this coffeemaker.

Pros:
* There is a good coffee quickly. This replaced a Krups I literally had only been out and I think we made a good choice for a brewery day. I've had for over 6 months and has maintained well in everyday use. The coffee tastes great and stays warm for longer than our Krups. I do not like hot coffee in the dark and I understand that purists expect a particular temperature in the preparation. I'm not anal enough to bring the team to check the temperature periodically, but for a $ 100 coffee maker I'm not waiting for the perfect you could get a commercial machine. This is a strong coffee.
* Speed. I rate this is the standard Preparation for speed, not too slow, not too fast.
* Easy to clean. The jar, bucket, and the unit itself is easy to maintain. The cube is slightly shorter than the standard # 4 paper filters, but still fit well. If you want a European special filters so that the fit is perfect, forward, but do not bother and everything works fine.
* Good user interface. Easy to set up time, easy to use programming always work as schedule. The screen of the reservation will be prominently placed and easy to read, love it.

Cons:
* Height. This unit is very high, so will not fit in most cabinets. We have our display in a kitchen island so that it does not bother me at all.
* Pour. Pouring jug is difficult because This was designed to hold so much heat inside as possible. In our old Krups, loosening the lid of the jar head to pour a faster, but this jar that just makes the poor to be broader and more neglected. You have to cope with a slow pour into the cup.

A note: A number of people have complained of the jar causing spills and overflows in their desks. This coffee has a unique delivery device of the carafe to keep coffee hot. You must place the jar in a floating ball device mounted drip dripping directly into the jar. I can honestly see how this could be a problem if you're not paying attention but after more than 250 pots of coffee that have never flooded this jar once. Our Krups would overflow about once every two months, usually because to user error. It takes 2 seconds to place the jar before the brewing and no problem here.

Overall I am very happy with this coffeemaker. The size and how it will be difficult for some cooking facilities, but otherwise this works very well and we are very happy with it. I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a good coffee maker for $ 100 or less.
