How to clean a stainless steel Travel Mug
A stainless steel cup trip is a good investment since a quality cup can last for many years. When you have a favorite cup and carry every day, which quickly and stick to it with a different cup appears to abandon old friend. The problem is that his old friend can sometimes be a bit dirty and smelly, even if they give you the care you need.
cups Many come with "washing hands" warnings only, and only few are dishwasher safe. One of the main reasons for this is polypropylene and plastic parts that attach to stainless steel. Poli parts are often used to threads on top of the cup plus the handles or control inserts, zip ties, etc. The reason why many of these cards are not dishwasher safe is that the shape of these pieces can sometimes hold water, allowing pollutants found in a small channel inside the cup. Hand washing removes this as they usually turn the cup right side up brush, and then throws it upside down, then right up to flush, etc. This rotation allows all the water flowing again outside of the cup to make sure it is really clean.
Even a stainless steel cup can sometimes become stained by coffee, tea or other beverages. If you have a cup of seniors who want to rejuvenate and give an extra life - or simply want to remove the stain - you can try one of these tricks.
The first is the good old baking soda and vinegar. Remove the lid of the cup and pour in one or two heaping teaspoons of baking soda. Then add a generous amount of vinegar. A good pair of two shots should start. The idea is to make vinegar foam and clean the inside of the bowl by the action of sodium bicarbonate is stirred quickly against metal. You can use any vinegar over it and as good as the best. Those who use vinegar to clean their coffee makers, may want to clean your cups at a time by reusing ran vinegar through the coffee. Reduce the amount of vinegar you need to buy and to recycle once before throw it away. The cleaning capacity of vinegar is not damaged by running through the Coffee Machine, as is the acid that we seek and that does not change much.
Another method that some people use is falling into a pair of ordinary denture cleaning tablets and let soak the cup overnight. The tablets will not harm the Stainless steel and explosion of coffee and tea stains immediately, at least according to TV commercials.
One of the problem areas area to clean is the lid. Almost all travel stainless steel cup with a lid is made of polypropylene that consists of several parts. Often there are small gaps between parts that can hold liquids, even after the cup is empty. For coffee drinkers and tea that does not add to their drinks, this is not usually too much of a problem, simply rinse the cover with hot water and put it to dry.
Those who enjoy milk, cream, cream, sugar or sweeteners found that cleaning the tops can be a bit more problematic. If left in the cracks of the cover, these additives can cause a sour or even be smelly. The good news is most covers are made to be disassembled for cleaning. Be careful with lid open pipes that can be popped off its hinges so it can reach interior. Other tops with sliding doors often have a catch or a button to press to take the cover apart for cleaning.
In the rare case that the cover does not can be removed, you can try cleaning the same way you clean the rest of the cup with baking soda and vinegar or prosthesis tables. Just use a plate or other container to hold the cover and cleaning compounds, and be sure to rinse well with hot lid.
A little care in cleaning can prolong the life of almost any stainless steel cup trip.
